  8. ** If you have purchased K-Free in the past and have not received your
  9.    upgrade letter please read PRODUCT.INF for information on upgrading
  10.    from a previous version of K-Free.

  13. **** Differences between the shareware and retail versions of K-Free ****
  14.  
  15. 1) The opening herald is different.  In the retail version of K-Free the
  16.    Herald does not speak to you and will dissapear automatically after 3
  17.    seconds.  Also, the herald may be disabled in the retail version.

  24.   1) Print out the order form contained in the file ORDER.DOC.

  50. --- Fixes/additions for Version 5.03 ---

  52. 1)      The documentation has been changed to reflect membership in the
  53.         Compuseve Registration service.
  54.  
  55. 2)      The animation in the About box has been removed so that the
  56.         distributed file is smaller and easier to download.
  57.  
  58. 3)      Misc. refinements have been made to make K-Free faster.

  61. --- Fixes/additions for Version 5.02 ---

  63. 1) The color dialog has been fixed so that changing the colors in K-Free
  64.    does not cause system resources to decrease.

  67. --- Fixes/additions for Version 5.01 ---

  69. 1) The new button controls will now react properly when the space bar is
  70.    pressed.

  72. 2) A new Resource dialog has been added so that the GDI and USER resource
  73.    percentages may be displayed together or seperately as desired.

  75. 3) If you are using Windows 3.1 or Windows with Multimedia Extensions then
  76.    you will be able to hear the author speak.  Run K-Free and select the
  77.    About Box for more information.

  79. 4) K-Free will run under both Windows 3.0 and 3.1.

  81. 5) A UAE would sometimes occur when opening the Color Setting dialog or the
  82.    Drive selection dialog.  These UAE's have been corrected.
  83.  
  84. 6) The background color of the K-Free radio and check boxes would appear too
  85.    dark on 256 color displays.    The background now matches the rest of the
  86.    dialog.

  89. --- Corrections to the Manual ---

  91. 1) Date Display, Page 10.  The manual states that there are six (6) different
  92.    date formats, it should state that there are five (5).
  93.  
  94. 2) Date Display, Page 10.  "Please turn to page 23 for more details" should
  95.    state "Please turn to page 16 for more details".

  97. 3) Time Display, Page 10.  "Please turn to page 23 for more details" should
  98.    state "Please turn to page 16 for more details".
